I predicted it would happen since at least the beginning of this season - what else could Celestia/Luna have been preparing Twilight for? I have confidence that the show's writers can take it in an interesting direction. It's good to mix things up now and then, and keep the story moving forward rather than stagnating - we wouldn't want it to end up like a stale sitcom. So, I look forward to seeing how they handle this.
